Year 1

In Year 1 we have explored the topic of Seasons and Animals Including Humans in Science, drawing in Art, fruit and vegetables in Design and Technology, How am I making history? and what’s it like here? In Geography in the autumn term.  

For spring, we will be looking at building using materials in Science, painting and mixed media in Art, Wheels and axils in Design and Technology, Toys in History, and Weather in Geography.  

In the summer term, we will explore plants in Science, woven wonders in Art, moving story books in Design and Technology, explorers in History and what is it like to live in Shanghai? In Geography.  

Throughout the year in our class, we will be improving our writing skills through our English lessons using books such as The Train Ride, Little Red Riding Hood, Grandad's Island and On Safari. We look forward to many exciting moments across the year!
